一直在犹豫说想开自己的技术及科研博客，主要有两个目的，一是想自己整理一下做科研做实验的时候遇到的问题，梳理一下知识结构，我想这个对于正在读博士的我是个特别有必要的事情。第二是希望借助互联网这个平台能和其他人进行分享，我从小在互联网上学到了很多很多东西，也确实应该为互联网贡献一些自己的知识。不敢说自己的知识很多，但是就我自己所能去分享一些东西，得到一些反馈或是能结识一些对问题感兴趣的朋友，也是非常令人兴奋的。

我到此刻都还没有决定好的事情，就是我不知道应该拿中文写还是拿英文写。原因就是有很多计算机领域的词汇可能用中文有点别扭，直译虽然简单粗暴，但可能和它的本意有点区别。意译又不一定能被人认可，大家可能并不知道你在说什么。如果中英文夹杂，可能国内有些朋友看上去也觉得怪怪的。但思前想后，我还是决定用中英文夹杂的形式来写，如果我觉得这个地方确实是必须要用英文来写，我就会用英文，我也建议一些国内的朋友用英文去代指某个方法或是某个技术。计算机本身就是个舶来品，一个语言本身其实限定了一定的思维模式，所以用它本来的语言去叙述一定是最贴近发明它的人的本意的，只有理解了这些本意，才能更好地去理解技术背后的思想和逻辑，从而做出自己的突破和贡献。

很多留学生一定非常能理解我在说什么。

我举两个很简单的例子，两个词，一个是presentation，一个是orientation，这两个词应该如何向你的父母还有不懂英文的人解释呢？presentation原义就是呈现，展示，一般就是指用幻灯片去讲解课程或是汇报工作，汇报项目进度等等，所以在国内可能会直接用“讲PPT”来表示。orientation是很多留学生刚到国外要参加的一个活动，但可能很大程度上就是对新生的一种培训，国内大学可能会叫作“迎新会”，但“迎新会”在中文语境下可能有太多庆祝性质的东西在里面，也不能很好地表达这个意思，因为orient-本身也有指向性的意思，所以本质上是一种对新生引导性质的活动。我说这两个例子也是想为很多留学生做一个辩解，我们回国之后有时候中英文夹杂真的不是为了装逼，而是确实翻译起来要做到“信、达、雅”不是一件容易的事情。

I have hesitated to start writing my technical and research blog for several days. In general, I have two goals for that: First, it is a good chance for me to record the problems and solutions encountered throughout my research and experiments and sort the knowledge strcuture in my mind. I believe it would be very necessary and beneficial to my PhD career. Second, I indeed need to share some points on Internet, because I have learned a lot from Internet since I was very young. I cannot say that I am very knowlegable, but by doing so, if I can get some feedbacks or make friends who are really interested in the same problems, it would be very excited for me, I imagine.

Until now, I still have no idea about writing the blog in English or Chinese. That is because some words seem very strange when expressed in Chinese. If translated directly, I mean, word by word, the meaning may be somehow twisted, although it is simple and straightforward. As an alternative, if I use paraphrases, i.e., finding the corresponding Chinese words with closest meaning to translate, the translation may also confuse some people and they would not know what you are talking about. If I present them by mixing English and Chinese, some guys in China may still feel a little strange, I think. Overall, I decide to write my blog by Chinese with some English words when necessary. Also, I suggest denoting some methods or techniques using English words. Because Computer Science is an area created in western world. A language determines your thinking patterns. Thus it is the best way to express the meaning by the original languages which conveys the original ideas. Once understanding the original meanings, we are able to have a better command of thinkings and logics behind these techniques. Therefore, we can make our own contributions and breakthroughs in this area.
